Art History [Egon Schiele/Viennese Succession Movement/ Expressionism/Symbolism], Multiple Birth Pregnancies. The perverse sensationalism of multiple birth pregnancy provides a context for the morose form of a dying women hooked up to an IV unit; her womb distended and swollen by ten fetuses. A unique convergence of womb and shroud-like sheets creates the secondary image of a grim reaper foreshadowing death.
