Description: 1998 Elements & Principles of Design Art Show: The Menagerie [Curriculum & Instructional Services, Surrey]. Elements and Principles of Design. Menagerie #4 is a hue and texture problem. Three colours primary and or complementary - are used to interpret the eight objects into basic shapes. The shapes are embellished with multiplication of forms - natural, geometric, symbolic and non-objective. The style is cubism as the strong angles and edges give it a 3D effect. Texture is applied with a fine-tipped black felt pen.
