Description: 2000 Road Safety Calendar Project [ICBC Insurance Brokers & B.C. Millenium 2000]. Drinking and Driving [CounterAttack/Commercial Art]. CounterAttack began in 1977 with December holiday road checks to pull impaired drivers off the road. The program combines highly visible police enforcement with public awareness and education initiatives to help save lives and reduce impaired driving crashes. In 2000, RCMP have joined with the 12 municipal police agencies to conduct 126,000 hours of road checks throughout the province.
